The Baltimore County Police and Private Security Association was formed in 1987 in an effort to improve the relationship between the Police Department and the Private Sector. By establishing lines of communication with organizations that share a common interest, a united front can be mounted to prevent crime in Baltimore County. Additionally, member organizations facing a particular problem or need can call upon the expertise of various members for resolutions; be it identification or use of security related equipment, training, crime prevention tips, etc. The sharing of crime trend statistics at various locations allows members to take proactive steps in an attempt to avoid similar trends. The primary mode of information sharing is accomplished through regular monthly meetings and the distribution of materials via our informational network.

It is also important for the Association to keep informed about legislative changes and court decisions that affect our members.
