A crucial portion of the Helicopter Association International mission is to serve its members by "promoting the helicopter as a safe, effective method of commerce and the advancement of the civil helicopter industry.

To accomplish this portion of its mission, HAI recognizes the need to work with other organizations with shared interests as partners in promoting the industry, enhancing the public image of helicopters, developing and implementing effective safety and operating practices, cooperating on regulatory and legislative initiatives affecting helicopter operations and sharing good ideas. A key element in the HAI effort to nurture this partnership is the HAI Affiliate Program.

Currently, there are 75 HAI Affiliate Members. HAI's Affiliate Members are national, regional and international organizations whose purpose and interests are similar to those of HAI.
